arctic warfare should primary be the domain of air force, space force and navy, aircraft, satellites, ships, submarines and their autonomous counterparts it's meaningless to use personel on the ground in the arctic army and marines could deploy unmanned stationary missile batteries, various stationary automated defense systems, unmanned signals intelligence and communications facilities and possibly some fully autonomous winter capable ground vehicles armed with missiles and projectile weapons and that use lasers to communicate with satellites what's really of interest are the northern coastlines of russia, canada and usa, especially if ice melts to make those waters passable by civilian ships
