in computers, severs and supercomputers, 
could all electric energy and communications wiring and cables 
be replaced by circuitry in motherboard 
so that all cards and everything else connected to motherboard get their electric energy and communications through motherboard 

reducing amount of cables would reduce costs 
and simplify assembly and maintenance of servers and supercomputers
