most democratic countries seem to be comfortable with having intelligence services, security services and militaries 

in fact, it seems like democratic countries spend more money on their intelligence services, security services and militaries 

in democratic countries there are no or few discussions in media about special operations, deniability, continuity of government, designated survivor, 

but there are no or few protests about those issues either
