electromagnetic plasma engine

when an aircraft travels at hypersonic speeds through air 

then plasma forms around it 

so the aircraft could add or remove electrons 

to the plasma that surrounds the aircraft 

to make the plasma negatively or positively charged 

and then the aircraft could use very powerful electromagnets onboard 

to move the negatively or positively charged plasma around it 

in order for the aircraft to propel itself through air
