the king
the king doesn't trust the information
that he gets from his advisors
he thinks that either the advisors are incorrect
or the sources of his advisors are incorrect
he assumes that it's because of incompetence and misunderstandings
because his advisors are loyal types
the king dresses like a commoner
and he walks among the people in the streets of the city
and he walks among the people on the roads of the countryside
people in the city and the countryside
hear rumors that the king is walking among the people
in the city and on the countryside
old men swears
and old women mutters
young men become agitated
and young women become excited
children are quiet
some bandits come into the village
and ask questions
then other bandits come into the city
and ask questions

and the soldiers goes to the city looking around
one evening some bandits goes to the tavern to drink
some drunk bandits asks the whores what they think of the king
the whores laughs
some drunk workers seem angry
and ask loudly what the bandits say about the king
the bartender looks sternly at them
the bandits talk to themselves
and the workers talk to themselves
they look suspiciously at each other
the workers talked about work being hard
so the bandits think that the workers want to murder the king
and the bandits talked about treasure
so the workers think that the bandits want to kidnap the king
the workers and the bandits start screaming at each other about the king
others in the tavern think that the king is in danger
but they wonder where he is
one old drunk man screams that he is the king
the bandits look at the old man
a young man screams that he is the king
the workers look at the young man
another man who isn't even drunk screams that he is the king
both the bandits and the workers look at that man
more men in the bar claim that they are the king
one of the bandits goes to the bartender
and tells him that the king saved his mother from starvation
by sending her food
and one of the workers grabs a whore
and tells her that the king saved his father's farm from tough times
by sending him animals
the bandits came to the city because they wanted to protect the king
since the king had helped some of their relatives before
and the workers were in the city because they wanted to protect the king
since the king had helped some of their relatives before
two young sisters came into the tavern
they giggle as they whispered to each other
about who they met on the street
