cockroaches, individually stupid, but smart together

cockroaches have a distributed group intelligence by communicating with each other, 

so that every cockroach becomes a node in a network, 

that possibly individually and/or collectively collect information 

and individually and/or collectivelly make decision

individual decisions, such as: 

I found food, I will eat 

collective decisions, such as: 

food is over here, let's eat, let's guide each other to where the food is 

I usually criticize human networks on my blog because human networks are often misused, 

but atleast insects got it somewhat right
