ai and robotics will lead to significant automation in many industries 

so current industries will expand 

and more industries will form and expand 

so industrialized countries will need more land 

that can be industrialized 

while keeping the most attractive land for housing 

and keeping the most fertile land for agriculture 

the land of canada and greenland is cold 

which is perfect for automated industries that produce a lot of heat 

so with that in mind 

usa needs the land of 

canada, mexico, greenland,

guatemala, nicaragua, cuba and puerto rico 

so usa has two options 

either make being a part of usa so enticing 

for the people of those countries 

so that those countries voluntarily becomes new states in usa 

or that usa invades and keeps the territories of those countries 

canadians that don't want to be part of usa 

can move to europe 

and mexicans that don't want to become part of usa 

can move to south america 

and usa is able to convince europe and south america to agree to that
