rocket engine

a reusable chemical rocket 

could have air intakes in the front 

that pulls in air 

and moves that air in pipes inside the rocket past the fuel tanks 

and into the chemical rockets engines 

and if possible the chemical rocket engines 

use the fuel from the fuel tanks 

to superheat the air into plasma 

so that the chemical rocket engines in effect become plasma engines 

until the chemical rocket is so high that there is too little air 

and them the chemical rocket switches to burning only rocket fuel 

from the fuel tanks 

if it works 

then that could save some fuel 

which would enable the chemical rocket 

to travel farther in space
