leave an atom
and then electrons could be allowed to enter the atom
and that could be used as an atomic transistor
or photons could make electrons
leave a nanometer sized transistor
and then electrons could be allowed
to enter the nanometer sized transistor
and that could be used as a photonic / electronic transistor
