if a transistor can be seen with a electron microscope 

then it's a micrometer transistor 

and not a nanometer transistor 

CPUs and GPUs are marketed as having 

22 nm transistor, 20 nm transistor, 

5 nm transistor, 2 nm transistor and so on 

but transistors are so big 

that they are almost measured in micrometers 

but when a computer chip is marketed as 2 nm 

it means the 2 nm process 

which means that the transistors 

are manufactured with a 2 nm process 

and that's like saying that a gasoline car 

that was manufactured with laser welding 

is a laser car
