pre industrial alien civilization

it seems like I have established telepathic contact 

with a pre industrial alien civilization 

that has not yet invented gunpowder 

they seem to be insectoid non humanoid aliens that walk upright 

and they seem to be war like 

which means we understand each other 

I have covertly upgraded the righteous among them 

with exotic technology cybernetics 

of a basic level 

so that they get cybernetic telepathy 

and a life after death 

it's the usual situations: 

I'm trying to avoid unnecessary conflicts and wars 

and I protect righteous aliens 

and I murder unrighteous aliens 

I seem to have some influence over their soldiers 

who seem to use spears for combat 

and they seem to like acoustic rock music 

I will try to not interfere too much with their development as a civilization 

but I'm in telepathic communication with their wise men 

among others 

and they seem to like my ideas
