industrial base in space
there is little to no commercial demand for an industrial base in space
but in the future
if various militaries wants to build fleets of interplanetary spacecraft
and autonomous robotic bases on other planets
and if various space agencies wants to build research projects in space
and on other planets
and if companies wants to build large space stations
and transport spacecraft in space
then that will increase the commercial demand
for an industrial base in space
industrial components could be constructed on earth
and transported with reusable large rockets to the moon
where those industrial components would be assembled
into factories on the moon
and those lunar factories would use moon dust
which is rich in silicon, various metals and oxygen
to produce industrial components that are transported into space
and assembled into factories in space
then those factories would be pushed by rockets to the asteroid belt
and mine asteroids which are rich in a multitude of materials
then those factories would produce industrial components
which would be assembled into factories in the asteroid belt
and transported to other asteroids in the asteroid belt
all these processes would be autonomous
with the use of ai, robotics
and remotely controlled and monitored by humans on earth
the processes would repeat itself until the market demand is met
