there are lots of battery technologies currently available that could function as armor, only problem would be overheating from sunlight, but there are materials that could absorb and distibute sunlight
thick carbon fiber batteries would be sufficient armor
thick graphene batteries would be efficient armor
electric combat vehicles with sufficient energy storage in it's battery armor could have enough power to use energy weapons against drones and missiles
hypothetically electric combat vehicles could have receivers to recharge batteries by airborne or spaceborne energy transfer systems if weather allows
