companies could fund research and development to: 
build solar panels on the light side of the moon to generate electricity, 
collect vast quantities of moon dust, 
use electricity to heat moon dust until it melts, 
use 3d printers to pour it to create a buildings with relatively thin, but sturdy walls and roofs on the moon, 
mass produce habitats 
similar method could be used on mars by using mars dust 

if technology is viable, then habitats could be mass produced on the moon and on mars

advantages: water not required, concrete and cement requires water 

disadvantages: could be brittle, especially on the moon where the cold temperature could fraction the hot material that would be produced 

if technology and business is viable, then companies could use material from asteroids to 3d print space stations in the asteroid belt and then move space stations to where customer requires
