distributed redundancy

data centers are powerful engines that powers the economy 
but they also speed up science, research and development 
which makes data centers vital in developed countries 

but data centers are easily destroyed 
in conflicts and wars 
which would weaken the economy 
and thereby give less resources to the military 
which increases probability of military defeat 

so distributed redundancy is needed 
so that compute is spread out geographically in nodes 
which would make it difficult for an adversary 
to destroy more than a few of those nodes 

and the easiest and most economical way 
to spread out compute nodes geographically 
is to enable the civilian market 
to sell extremely powerful gaming computers 
and extremely powerful gaming consoles 
which would be bought by gamers 
and computer enthusiasts 

those compute nodes would not replace data centers 
instead they would complement data centers 
if data centers are destroyed in conflicts and wars 

gamers and computer enthusiasts could be rewarded 
if they allow various organizations and companies 
to use those extremely powerful gaming computers 
and extremely powerful gaming consoles 
as compute nodes 
for a certain amount of hours each day and night 
in a time of crisis 

and laws could be implemented 
that requires those extremely powerful gaming computers 
and extremely powerful gaming consoles 
to be used as compute nodes 
by various organizations and companies 
for a certain amount of hours each day and night 
in a time of crisis 

and the gamers and computer enthusiasts would be thrilled 
to get hardware more powerful than what they ever dreamed about 

when data centers are deployed in space 
then distributed redundancy could easily be achieved 
by spreading out more space based data centers 
throughout the solar system 

but data centers will still be needed locally on planet earth 
and for distributed redundancy to work on planet earth 
then compute nodes are needed 
and the most economical way to achieve that 
is if extremely powerful gaming computers 
and extremely powerful gaming consoles 
are used as compute nodes
