how companies kick many of their employees

but the long term results will probably be

will be able to do more work

for example
a company only has enough workers
to build one 5 km long road at the time
but in the future when that company builds a road
then it will need fewer workers
to build 5 km long road
because of ai, robotics and automation
so that company will be able to buld two roads at the same time
there is historic precedence for this scenario
when factories started using more machines to produce products
then fewer workers were needed
to produce a certain amount of products
so either the factories kicked workers
and produced the same amount of products as before
or the factories kept the workers
and produced more products than before
and this scenario has played out throughout history
every time humans have started to use new technologies
