mass effect

an atom is mostly empty space
the space between the electrons orbiting the nucleus is empty

a molecule is mostly empty space
the space between the electrons orbiting the nucleus is empty

if many protons and/or neutrons are pressed together
then they could form a larger atom
but that atom would not be stable if pressure is removed
so it would loose protons and/or neutrons
so that the atom would become smaller

but if protons and/or neutrons
could constructed into components
and those components would connect to each other
then a very large atom could be created
possibly subatomic particles would have to be manipulated
to enable that

the resulting product could be a superdense material
that could revolutionize:
fuel, battery, armour, weapons and building technologies
and so on

if an atom were to become very big
then it would be interesting to see if the electron orbit
would increase beyond a certain limit or not

a very large molecule is different from a very large atom
since the vast empty space between the nucleus and eletron orbit
remains in the atoms combined into a very large molecule
