strategic considerations regarding technology
it's often insinuated or said
that technology doesn't win wars
but instead that training, tactics and strategies win wars
I don't agree with that
a medieval army of knights armed with swords
could never win against a 1950's army of soldiers armed with rifles
no matter what training, tactics and strategies were used
that modern armies don't want to win wars
doesn't mean that they can't win wars
probably because of strategic reasons
which indicates that a technological advantage
is extremely important in warfare
so the rumors in social media
that covert research is atleast 50 years ahead of official research
seems logical
some defense research agencies seem more like a media circuses
there seem to be some disinformation in most activities
which could mean that there is some disinformation in science
which is understandable since information warfare
is part of any country's arsenal
if a scientist or researcher disvovers something
that is considered too secret for defense research agencies
then that could lead to a dark path
a single person armed with a knife
could change the outcome of history
but not win a war
