history books don't add up

it's possible that some ethnicities, languages, cultures and traditions 
are fake and were created by dividing bigger ethnic groups into smaller ethnic groups 
and giving those new ethnic groups slightly different languages or new languages 
which was done by other humans 
in order to more easily control those ethnic groups 

to create a new language is fairly easy 
fiction authors do it all the time to fill their books with content
