humans don't mourn their ancestors that died of disease, natural disaster or incompetence, 

humans mourn their ancestors that died in war, that died working themselves to death, that died because they were changing society 

if 90 % of humans die in every country from mass extinctions, 

then their descendants will not mourn them, 

their descendants will mourn those that survived
