would be cool to create transistors 

from hydrogen ions 

where a hydrogen cation represents 1 

and a hydrogen anion represents 0 

and the hydrogen ions are connected together with carbon atoms 

a single atom thick layer 

of hydrogen ions connected to each other with carbon atoms 

and above or below that 

one or a few layers of atoms that functions as gates 

and so on 

if photons could be used to push electron 

to or from hydrogen atoms 

to create hydrogen ions 

then that would possibly be optical transistors 

either works or not 

probably easy to mass produce
