such as the internet, supercomputers, company servers 
and so on 

because there are so many devices 
such as mobile phones, computers, servers and supercomputers
communicating with each other in various systems 
in both open systems like the internet 
and closed systems like company servers 
then open source software and open standards software 
decreases complexity and binds systems together 

open source hardware and open standards hardware 
is becoming more and more common 
in both companies and organizations 

an example of how open source functions in everyday life 
is cooking recipes 
before a lot of food recipes were a family secret 
while many recipes were sold as cook books 
but nowadays a lot of recipes are shared openly 
on youtube videos and web sites 

so with that in mind it makes more sense 
to spread knowledge about dark arts 
in an open way without saying too much
