computing on the moon
lunar soil and moon rocks contains silicon, various metals
and oxygen
so it would be possible to extract silicon
from lunar soil and moon rocks
and produce computer chips on the moon
and use those computer chips to build supercomputers on the moon
the production would be done by automated machinery
and autonomous robots
those supercomputers would be housed inside concrete buildings
with concrete made from lunar soil or moon rocks
in order to protect the supercomputers from heat of sunlight
and radiation from space
or the supercomputers could be built underground on the moon
in order to protect the supercomputers from heat of sunlight
and radiation from space
concrete would be produced by superheating lunar soil
with energy from solar power
the computer chips in the supercomputers
would be cooled by the cold temperatures on the moon
and shielded from the heat of the sunlight
there would be solar farm on opposite sides of the moon
so that one solar farm would get sunlight during moon day
when the other solar farm is in the moon night
and both solar farms would be connected
by wire or wireless or possibly laser
to the supercomputers and industrial facilities
on earth supercomputers and datacenters
use a lot of energy to operate
and use a lot of energy to keep cool
on the moon the cooling is free
because of the cold temperature of space
and energy is plentiful because of sunlight for solar farms
