and didn't want the magician to be used in high risk tasks
such as assassinations
and because the knights were worried
that the magician was mistreated because of the circumstances
that an assassin might be in
and possibly because the knights thought it was inappropriate
that a covert leader was an assassin
even though the knights thought that was cool
