send rockets to mars that lands on the mars equator
and releases genetically modified micro organisms
such as algae, fungus and bacteria
that convert carbon dioxide to oxygen
and when old micro organisms die then soil is created
that make new micro organisms thrive in that soil
later or at the same time send rockets to mars
that lands on the mars equator and releases robots
that plants genetically modified grass or small plants
in the soil created by micro organisms
or put a seed inside a packet of soil
and use robots that plants many of those packets in the mars ground
plants convert carbon dioxide to oxygen
when micro organisms and plants die
then that will create soil on mars
that will enable more micro organisms and plants to grow
and that will create more soil
which will enable larger plants to grow on mars
micro organisms and plants that convert carbon dioxide to oxygen
could in the beginning enable insects to live on mars
and possibly later enable animals to live on mars
insects could make it easier for micro organisms and plants
to spread on mars
and old insects that die would become more soil
the activity of micro organisms, plants and insects
could possibly slightly affect the temperature on mars
according to media the temperature of the equator on mars
is +20°C in the summer and -30°C in the winter
plants on earth are able to survive those temperatures
according to media the atmosphere on mars consists of
95% carbon dioxide
3% nitrogen
and other gases
plants on earth need carbon dioxide for photosynthesis to function
but according to media plants on earth needs oxygen to breathe
so plants could be genetically modified
to extract oxygen from carbon dioxide in the mars atmosphere
possibly by using dna from bacteria and inserting that dna into plants
if there were native organisms on mars before
or if there are native micro organisms on mars presently
then the effects of terraforming of mars on those micro organisms
should be ignored
because humanity's colonization of the solar system is more important
it would be cheap but slow terraforming of mars
