it would be both healthier and tastier 
if potato chips were fried in palm oil or olive oil or animal fats 

palm oil is cheap, healthy and tasty 
because palm oil has a high content of saturated fat 
and because palm oil has a high content of monounsaturated fat 
but has gotten a bad reputation in media 

olive oil is healthy and tasty 
because olive oil has a high content of monounsaturated fat 
but is unfourtunately more expensive than rapeseed oil 

animal fat left over from slaughter is healthy, tasty and quite cheap 
because animal fat has a high content of saturated fat 
and because animal fat has a high content of monounsaturated fat 
chicken fat and pig fat is probably the cheapest 
and cow fat is probably somewhat cheap 

if a person eats a lot of potato chips fried in rapeseed oil 
then that person usually gets a strange feeling in the belly 
that is because rapeseed oil is not healthy 
because rapeseed oil has a low content of saturated fat content 
and rapeseed oil has a high content of polyunsaturated fat 

but if that same person eats a lot of sliced potatoes fried in butter 
then that person won't get a strange feeling in the belly 
that is because butter is healthy 
because butter has a high content of saturated fat content 
and because butter has a high content of monounsaturated fat
