it's simple 

if some humans notice the existance of exotic technology, then those humans could take my blog posts more seriously 

and if other humans don't notice or don't want to notice the existence of exotic technology, 
then those humans could ignore my blog posts 

and since media probably will continue to write in other words that it's difficult to invent self replicating nano machines, 
then both some humans and other humans will get their own perception of the message that media is conveying
