learning by doing can be painful if idea/strategy seems crazy

using learning by doing to learn strategies can be intellectually painful and emotionally distressing, 

since learning by doing possibly involves learning from mistakes 

or learning from understanding something that was not previously considered 

example: 

something seems crazy, 

but after understanding logic, 

learning is acquired
