if missiles, impact drones and guided munitions could be made smaller with less explosives, 
then those weapons could disable vehicles without killing the personel in the vehicles 
and because those weapons would be smaller, more of those weapons could be deployed 

example: drone drops guided bomb that disables the tracks of a tank, personel leaves the tank, drone drops second guided bomb that completely destroys or permanently disables the tank 

if conflict/war escalates so that strategic necessities require that personel are killed, then drone can drop two guided bombs that completely destroys vehicle and personel immediately or disables vehicle in a way that kills personel in vehicle
