while intel kept on producing x86 cpu processors for windows computers sold by different computer companies 

what if microsoft would have started making microsoft linux and started selling that as microsoft linux servers aimed at data center companies at the same time google started to build lots of linux data centers 

while microsoft would have kept on selling microsoft windows server to companies in need of servers 

risc-v cpu processors produced by intel could enable intel access to new markets 

while intel keeps producing x86 processors for markets concerned 

risc-v will probably not be affected by sanctions and export restrictions which is of intetest in some asian markets
